EyeTech TM3

The EyeTech TM3 (formerly known as Quick Glance 3SH) enables users to control their Speech Generating device through eye control. Individuals with mobility impairments can access all functions of their speech generating device (SGD) with their eye movements. This is ideal for ALS patients with progressive neural motor deterioration.
EyeTech TM3 can:
● Install on most Windows XP or Vista based computers
● Track one or both eyes
● Be used with any Windows based communication software
● Be used to surf the web, send email, and do anything a handheld mouse can do!
Who can Benefit?
Anyone who cannot use a hand-operated mouse. This would include a range of people from those who are experiencing soreness in their hand or wrist to those who have no hand function at all.
Quick Glance runs under the Windows operating system (95, 98, 2000, ME, NT4.0, and XP) and can be used in conjunction with Windows software. When combined with an on-screen keyboard, the user has complete accessibility to Windows features--without lifting a finger!
The software is designed to run in the background while the user is working with standard Windows applications. Voice dictation software can also be used with the TM3 System resulting in efficient, hands-free operation for both text entry and pointing operations.
How it Works
A camera mounted on the computer monitor is focused on one eye. The EyeTech TM3 software processes the camera image to determine where the user is looking (gaze point), and the cursor is then placed at the gaze point. "Mouse clicks" are done with either a slow eye blink, eye gaze or a Hardware switch(toe click, finger click, etc).
