Introducing the LOGAN ProxPAD choice maker!
The ProxPAD is a single location communication and learning aid that uses the same powerful RFID Sound Tag cards found in the ProxTalker. It is an excellent choice for persons with physical, visual or cognitive impairments who require tangible objects or other site cues to initiate communication.
To access voice output, simply bring your custom Sound Tag to the ProxPAD’s large blue surface.
The device immediately recognizes its ID and speaks a unique message!
Voice output is activated by one of two access modes: TOUCH or PROXIMITY. In TOUCH, the Sound Tag card must make contact with the blue surface. While, in PROXIMITY, the Sound Tag card need only come near the face of the unit.
By its design, the ProxPAD allows you to make Sound Tags to match the User’s physical and visual abilities in creative ways to support communication. For example, attach a Sound Tag to a water bottle to speak “I want a drink”; or place a Sound Tag card into a doll to symbolize the activity, “I want to play”.
For children with limited hand function and/or visual impairment, using the ProxPad choice maker in creative ways enables them to make meaningful choices and play.
