What We Offer
Lifestyle Medicine is about building a healthier you from every angle. That’s why, at Aroga, we don’t just focus on healing you when you’re sick. Our treatment plans can help guide you toward an evidence-based lifestyle for optimal overall health.
Aroga Lifestyle Medicine Consultation
Many of the major diseases Canadians face have their roots in how we live. Research and peer-reviewed evidence, often found in our national and international disease treatment guidelines outlines multiple lifestyle-based treatments above and beyond medication that are often much more powerful. Lifestyle medicine combines 6 pillars for overall health: food, exercise, stress management, social connection, quality of sleep and substance abuse control.
A Lifestyle Medicine Consultation will bring to bear the power of these often neglected evidence-based treatments guided by our multi-board certified specialists to help you not only control but cure disease.
General Internal Medicine Consultation
In a general internal medicine consultation, your doctor will help you prevent, diagnose, or treat your issue in a caring and compassionate manner. Internal Medicine is the medical specialty of the organ systems with particular expertise in the area of diagnosing undifferentiated symptoms and management of a wide variety of diseases.
MSP & OHIP CoveredOsteoporosis Medicine Consultation
Patients experiencing osteoporosis can see an improvement in their condition from a range of evidence-based conventional and lifestyle treatments. Our team helps you navigate the available evidence-based options and will help guide your treatment based on your risk of fracture rather than just bone density results.

Family Medicine is the most important component of the Canadian Health Care System. A good family doctor or nurse practitioner makes an enormous impact on a person’s health and coordinates all aspects of health care.
MSP & OHIP CoveredEmotional Resilience
People suffering from health problems often feel alone in their struggle. Our group medical visits combat this isolation by putting patients together to attack their conditions together. Facilitated by specialist physicians and allied health professionals trained in this method of care, these sessions are partly educational, partly direct medical treatment and often a whole lot of fun. All participants are required to sign confidentiality waivers and abide by a code of conduct.

Electrocardiogram (ECG)
It might surprise you, but your heart runs on electricity just like your computer! This is a test often used as part of an Internal Medicine consultation due to its ability to detect a wide variety of cardiac diseases. 12 leads will be attached by stickers to your chest and the electrical signature of your heart is recorded. This test has no contraindications and is painless. No electricity is applied to your body, it simply detects the electrical activity of your heart. This test is then interpreted by a board-certified General Internist.
MSP & OHIP CoveredCardiac Treadmill Testing
This takes ECG testing to the next level. By monitoring your heart’s electrical patterns during exercise, we can detect or rule out coronary artery disease and a wide variety of arrhythmias. This test can be modified so that even the very elderly can participate. Your technologist will ask you questions to ensure you do not have one of the rare reasons this test cannot be performed. This test is then interpreted by a board-certified General Internist.
MSP & OHIP CoveredHolter Testing
Ever wondered what is happening when your heart skips a beat? This 24 hour or 48 hour test monitors your heart for arrhythmia, which can sometimes be dangerous but is often benign. This is a painless test much like the ECG, but is done at home where you are encouraged to live normally (though avoid all water, for obvious reasons!). This test is then interpreted by a board-certified General Internist.
MSP & OHIP CoveredImpedance-based Body Composition Analysis
This Health Canada Certified test uses electrical impedance and a computer algorithm to determine the tissue make-up of your body. It provides precise data on body fat mass, muscle mass, water mass as well as crucial data on visceral (central) fat which plays an important role in disease. This test is often used to monitor response to lifestyle change as it is far more useful data than a simple scale or BMI calculation.
